styles again

The style used for Bloom's thoughts reflect his character (obviously). The styles of the chapters reflect the theme of the chapter, rather than the eloquence of the author.

It's quite the opposite in Proust, where every sentence reminds us of the author's eloquence, regardless of what he is talking about, be it the Françoise's way of talking or the arcane gossip of high society.
